The conference of Gazprom JSC “Russian Offshore Oil and Gas Development: Arctic and Far East” held in Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC on October 29 and 30, 2014, was visited by more than 250 leading specialists of 93 companies from 9 countries all over the world: China, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, UK.

The high-level of presented subject reports devoted to principal directions of offshore oil and gas resources development were noted by the conference participants at the Closing Plenary meeting.

At the Plenary meeting the most interest was attracted by the speeches of the high-profile native researchers: Evgeny Velikhov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), President of RSC “Kurchatov Institute” on the subject “Nuclear power supply of oil and gas resource development at the Arctic shelf”, Vasily Bogoyavlensky, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy director of Oil & Gas Research Institute of RAS presented the repot related to the strategy of oil and gas resources development in the Arctic region and Vladimir Mironov, deputy General Director for Perspective Development of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg LLC informed the conference participants of possibilities of using Russian equipment in present and future fields of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg LLC.
